Upcoming & Recent Events Two of our shelter dogs took the American Kennel Club (AKC) Canine Good Citizen test on Sunday February 12! Thanks to all the hard work and training put in by volunteers to accomplish this unusual feat (though it is becoming less and less unusual at our shelter--again, thanks to the wonderful volunteers!). Congratulations to Bounder and Brittany (the canines) and to volunteer trainers Karen and Peter!

AACCC wishes to thank the following veterinary clinics for providing free spay and neuter surgeries for our adoptable dogs. Each clinic usually performs one surgery a week, 52 weeks a year, for our canines, reducing each adoption fee by $80 to the public. This not only makes the dogs more adoptable, it has a significant impact on pet overpopulation in Anchorage. Thank you for performing this invaluable task!
